''...home, sweet, home..''
Hi y'all...it's been a long time since my last blog but times have been a changin' here in God's country (Yorkshire, to the uninitiated!). Briefly (cos I currently have a poorly little boy who wants only to sit on Mummy's knee) we had to move out of my parents approx 3 weeks ago (so as to maintain relationships), we moved into my Grandads but then had to leave as it was too disruptive for him and spent the last week of our homelessness in a hotel..but it was all worth it as we are now proud homeowners again and if you look at the link for the family photos you will see some pics, from when Freyr and Kristin visited last weekend..they arrived to a sea of boxes and left to the sight and smells of a finally-clean kitcehen (thankyou Afi F!). My parents also helped and we have all spent the week off work and school with T and I emptying boxes, filling landfill and making gentle inroads into the pile of things still in the garage.
My dear friend Deb visited too on Friday and that was way cool..lots of girlie natters and snuggles for her from EBB. Nobody has seen much of J but that's cool too, as he in engrossed in football, sports schemes and making new firends :-).
Workwise, T and I plod on but both know we will not be staying in our current posts long-term..T has his big police test in just under 2 weeks and if he gets in I will be looking for a part-time post nearer to home..I really fancy leaving the NHS and doing advocacy or something similar to my Icelandic 'work'..just watch this space...although it may be a bit ad-hoc for the time being as we are having a sense of deja-vu and having problems getting our phone connected and of course, without good ol' BT, we can't get new and shiny broadband and..you know the rest..
We are off to visit Island in 6 weeks and in 7 weeks Joy B is released! We can't wait to see eveyone in our other home-country and can't wait to have a pussy cat wandering around our new home...
Love to you all from us no-longer-homeless folks..Hope to see you soon..J, T, J and E xxxxxx
PS apologies for the terrible construction of my sentences in this blog but I am having to work at warp-speed here!xx
